Would anyone know where to get one? If
I'm not mistaken, I believe that it's
no longer produced. :( Thanks,
Bob

Yeah, everybody oughta have one, but you can't have mine. :)

It's even more fun if you reload. Light for plinking; hot for social work.

Enjoy, Art

hehe...i have two, but i'm selfish, i won't share. both of them r the "enhanced" versions, one matte SS and the other UBSS (my pimp gun...LOL).

Hard to come by these days, especially since Colt's are now on the endangered species list (self imposed?) Saw a nice one a while back for $425.00...should have bought it. Going for over $600.00 now when you can find them. That'll learn me!

Does anybody know how many of these guns Colt produced?

Good luck,
SM

misnomer that a LOT of Delta Elite frames cracked. early DE frames were abused by shooters who hot rodded the 10mm without upgrading the spring to a heavier #. if u r going to shoot full house loads exclusively out of a 10mm, get a STAR Megastar, Glock 20/29 or S&W 610.

Delta Gold Cups do have a problem though. the "enhanced" versions were cut too thin under the trigger guard where it meets the frame. the adjustable trigger needed more space, but the metal was too thin and cracks begin to develop after only about 500 rounds. COLT is good about replacing the frames though...with non-undercut frames.

I've got one and been thinking about moving on to something else. Hate to just up and sell a gun though, trading would be more to my liking. Interested?

I am currently building myself a 10mm with premium Caspian components. I've been thinking about this pistol for some time, and this will be a real show&go piece. Someone will probably end up wanting it a lot more than I, but that's OK, I'll build more.

Shooter's Den in Albuquerque NM has a used one in very good shape w 4 extra mags. The series 80 firing pin safety has been removed, but could be put back. They might ship to your FFL.

Muleshoe-I'd be interested in that 10mm of yours as well. Is it a Colt Delta Elite? What do you want in trade?

Steve

aztec, yes it is a Colt Delta Elite. The gun is mechanically sound and shoots well, I've never had a problem with it. It has some finish wear on just one side, no scratches, the rest of the gun is perfect. I'm not sure how the wear occured, as I'm not the original owner. I traded for it at a gunshow in TX 8 or so years ago. Back in the good-ole days of no paperwork, only God and myself know where this gun is. I've put approx. 300rds. through it. If I had to guess I'd say the wear came from someone riding it around under the seat of their vehicle. Maybe in the glovebox? The wear side I'd rate at 70%, the rest of the pistol is 97%+.

I've seen some of these in what sounds like not as good of shape sell on Auction Arms and Gunbroker from $450. to $590. I'm thinking $550. for mine. As far as trading, I'm in the market for a SS Beretta 96F 40s&w. I've seen those sell NIB for $500., sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more. Well, that's the scoop. I've haven't been actively peddling this so I don't really know what to expect, but I'm in no hurry.
