Need 38 S&W (short)?

I have more than a few revolvers chambered in 38 S&W (short) and some English .380-200 revolvers. I had some boxes of ammunition as old as the weapons. I enjoy shooting these old warhorses. I tried some Winchester Super X 38 S&W today. This is 145 gr, lead, round nose and reloadable. Ask for X38SWP when ordering. I liked it for accuracy. Silver cases, I don't know if they are nickel or not. None split after shooting. Positive ignition each time. Recoil was mild but, snappier than I expected. Pricey though at $19.00 per 50. I liked them.

Lots of cool old revolvers shoot the original 38S&W ... Brass can be had from Starline and Dies from Lee so I don't really have a reason to buy it, but it's nice to know that it can be bought ... but $19/50 is pretty pricey! Actually, I see that MidwayUSA has MagTech in 38S&W for $12.39/50 (or just over $10/50 if you have an FFL on file with them ... even a C&R FFL counts!)

Remington still makes .38 S&W last time I checked. Because it is so expensive, I load my own for three revolvers - Smith & Wesson .38/200 Lend Lease M&P; Iver Johnson Hammerless breaktop; British No. 2 Mk. I.
They are enjoyable to shoot because of the light recoil.
