Senators Christensen and Janssen of Nebraska has authored a bill that will provide several improvements to concealed carry in Nebraska.

LB430

  • Make void any city/town law disallowing CC
  • Require that the state complete CCP paperwork in 30 days from application
  • Allow a church to have armed security personnel as long as they are CCP holders
  • Allow current/former military personnel to apply for a CCP when they don't meet the 180 day residency rule
  • Grant reciprocity for holders of CCPs from states with equal or higher standards

The NFOA has contact info for the Senators on the committee.

Calling all Nebraska firearms enthusiasts. Let's get this pushed through.

For anyone that cares...this bill is getting much closer to being voted into law. Even if you aren't from Nebraska, it may be of interest because it will allow reciprocity for permit holders in states with similar requirements to Nebraska's.

Now, when you are driving across the state, you may not have to stop at the Nebraska border and secure your firearm for the next 455.27 miles. :D
