NC TFL Members: Online Petition for Castle Doctrine Law in North Carolina

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I happened on a news item that may be of interest if you live in NC. There is an online petition you may want look at and participate in having to do with establishing a Castle Doctrine law/legislation in NC:

Please look it over. Only 550 votes but I doubt the word has really gotten out to aa meaningful extent either.

The Castle Doctrine law recently passed in Missouri! Now people in St.Louis county no longer have to apply to the police for hand gun permits and wait for approval. A simple FBI check can be done in the gun shop and that's it. This is a great way for states to help citizens avoid overly restrictive local red tape that makes gun buying more of a hassle than it needs to be.

We could sure afford to rework the handgun purchase process in NC but a reasonable CD law would be even more worthwhile. I just hope other THL folks will look at the link and sign on.
