Just picked up an N C Star red dot scope on gunbroker for pretty cheap. Curious if anyone knows the quality of these particular units. Don't have a model number or anything.
Like, how bad? I got a decent deal, so I'm not too worried. Not that I would be okay if it went to pot in a couple hundred rounds, but if I get a year out of it I'll feel I got my money out of it.
That's the thing about that level of scope. You just don't know. Might hold zero for 5 years, or the crosshairs might fall off within the first box. I guess the bottom line is treat it like a range toy. Don't put it on a rifle that needs to work so that when it fails, you can chalk it up to experience with no other consequences.
