NC Star Mark 3 tactical Scope 9x42

I found 2030 links with the words " NC Star scope complaint " on google.com

The two that i have seen were low quality optically and one owner couldn't get his to keep a zero.

Oh man.

You're in for a ride. You've obviously never asked a scope question on this board.

Most folks here are rabidly anti-inexpensive scopes. Here, I'll save them the trouble:

If you're not spending at least $1000.00 + for some unpronounceable European name glass and having it mounted by magical elves on the surface of the moon, then you may as well be using a paper towel tube with kite string for cross-hairs.

I think differently. My brother uses I believe the very scope you are asking about on his AR .223. I've never seen any problems with it, it holds zero well and it does what we ask of it. He's not going into combat with it or even hunting, just plinking at the range. Check the OpticsPlanet site, they have some good prices on scopes.

Here's scopes $100.00 - $150.00

I don't have anything against the NcStar scopes, but you may want to look around a bit more, many stores have scopes on sale right now and you can get some pretty decent models for the $130.00 you mentioned. I wouldn't get hung up on the "tactical" unless you just won't be happy unless it says that on the side.

those scopes take the place of Norinc,I have a couple on SKS and AR15.they work for me.and one thing;most scopes are made with Japanese glass, some scopes are made in japan some in china and some in Philipines.so you really dont know where they are made.scopes that used to be american made are no longer made here.and to all intents and purpose most will work well.most if you only use them at one range will do the job.my shooting distance is 100 yrds, and can reach 200.:eek::D
