That would be so freakin' awesome if this could pass contenporaneously with SanFran's ban, so we'd have a running reality experiment side-by-side henceforward - you would (and will) see SanFran's violent crime rate shoot up, and you would (and will if it happens) see D.C.'s fall dramatically. Talk about a beautiful comparison to put in the anti's pipe for them to smoke in 5 years, after stats are in.... Of course, then again, they've ignored all irrefutable evidence contrary to their misconceptions to date, so I'm not sure if it would actually convince them. But it would make for powerful mojo for the fence-sitters.

VPC just put out an email alert glorifying the defeat of Congress's attempt to change D.C. gun laws. That would be a good subject for a new thread on D.C. gun laws. This article is too outdated.
