navy seal stock

reddot223: You are likely referring to a telescoping stock manufactured by Sage International (http://www.sageinternationalltd.com). My understanding is that you cannot order one directly from sage, however they do pop up on e-bay every once in a while.

My impressions of the stock: highly portable 12 gauge package when equipped with a 14 inch barrelled gun (especially when outfitted with a single point sling on sage's excellent attachment), however dangerous to shoot when completely collapsed as the back of the telescoping tubes are SHARP, and uncomfortable to shoot when deployed in all other positions. When firing, it feels quite similar to any of the other thin tube steeled folding stocks (such as the one by butler creek) that are commonly available. My recommendation would be to track down someone with one of these folders and go shoot the gun before commiting the effort and money to acquiring one of the sage folders. What would I choose instead? If you are fortunate enough to find a KAC 870 RAS, then I would go with one of the inline AR15 telescoping stock adapters equipped with a magpul stock. If the KAC 870 RAS is not in the picture, then I would look at the ACE ltd (http://www.riflestocks.com AR15-870 Adapter. IMHO, these are much more comfortable to shoot, and while they don't collapse quite as far as the Sage International stock does, the increased ergonomics when shooting are worth the tradeoff.

I have a gun equipped with the sage stock and will post some pitcures of it a little later on (I have to go drop some friends off at the airport now).

Take care,

Brobee, sorry to hear you are out of the stock adapter business. Well, maybe not that sorry, but you were always a straight shooter and a decent guy and a good resource for scattergun folks.

I hope to hear soon about other ideas and initiatives from your direction. That's a nice website, BTW.

reddot223: here are the photographs of the stock I think you're asking about. If they are indeed of what you are looking for, the stock is made by Sage International.

Mesa: Thanks for your warm thoughts. I guess there is only so much time, and it is actually a breath of fresh air to have the time to chase other things that have been neglected for some time. Thank you also for your comments on the website...it is certainly in it's infantcy and will be growing lots as I begin to upload content. If there are things of interest you feel might belong there, let me know as the plan for content is evolving daily...

Take care...
