Navy Arms Trapdoor?

Just purchased a replica 1873 trapdoor imported by Navy Arms. It is in a carbine stock but has only rear aperture sight. No rear barrel sight. Because I plan on hunting with this rifle I really need the barrel sights. What would be the most correct for an 1873? Which model do the Uberti's and Pedersoli's have? Thanks for any info
 
I would stick with the peep for hunting, just take the insert out if its a low light issue. 1000 times better hunting sight to start with vs a junk barrel sight.
