H Hellgate New member Apr 5, 2011 #3 Even with the short barrel you do not lose much velocity. You do lose the long sight radius but gain in portability (lighter weight and shorter length) especially around & in vehicles.

J jackpine New member Apr 5, 2011 #4 I've got one and it shoots great and groups well with ball and Maxi-balls. Hunting load for me is 110 grains FF and a Maxi-ball.
