National Postal Meter stock

I recently got a 5-44 Inland M1 Carbine wearing a National Postal Meter stock. The stock has the TRIMBLE over TN mark in the sling well and about a third of the NPM over FJA cartouche on the right side of the stock. It also sports a AAF arsenal mark on the left side.

Personally, I'd rather have a correct Inland stock for this bugger and shoot it instead of worrying about damaging the delicate cartouche on this one. I wonder how hard it is to find an NPM stock in good condition like this one. How much do you think a correct Inland stock would cost? How much would the NPM stock go for?

Thanks!

Obviously Inland stocks should be alot more available than NPM's. I am sure that someone with the scarcer NPM carbine would want the stock. You should see about working out a trade but I can't really tell you where to work that out, maybe a carbine collector website or something like surplusrifleforum.com would be a good place to list it in the want ads. You could sell your stock outright on ebay or an auction sight but then you would have to find the Inland stock somewhere. Or maybe a gunshow with lots of mil. guns for sale. You have a good trading stock there, just hooking up with someone to trade with is gonna be a job. Heck, just put a want to trade listing on TFL and see what happens.
