I am seeking information on a National Ordnance M1 Carbine, serial number 201347 which I recently acquired. I have done a little research, and I understand that this carbine is of commercial manufacture primarily (if not exclusively) made up of military surplus parts. I was hoping someone could give me more information such as date of manufacture, or some background information about National Ordnance. Also, does anyone know if these guns can use surplus parts currently available? The gun seems to be a fine shooter! Thanks in advance for your answers.
