A friend of mine just purchased a Beretta Nano and had asked me about ammo and which brand would be the best to run through it? Ammo for just plinking and general target practice is fine.Any advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks

For range use, find some 124-grain FMJ ammo from a well-known American manufacturer. The Nano is rather stiffly sprung, and using 115-grain range ammo can result in reliability issues, especially (1) when the pistol is new and (2) in conjunction with a weaker grip.

I settled on 115 grain bullets with no reliability issues but mine may be an exception rather than the rule. As far as which brand, I havent found one to be better than another. All have performed (group) well for me, but it could be due to the short distances I shoot.

No, most of the time there's no issue with 115-gr. rounds. It's just that when there is an issue, it's almost always with the lowest-powered stuff.

I only shoot 124 gr fmj as my carry ammo is 124 gr as well.

Once you get several hundred rounds through it, quality 115 gr should be just fine for plinking.

Brand? No preference, but for over a year I've been shooting reman ammo from freedom munitions. Cheap and reliable, and available in 124 gr.

When I had a Nano, I used 124gr Aguila FMJ for practice and 124gr Federal HST for carry, and both ran great. I had problems with 124gr Lawman.

Thanks to all that replied I will pass this on and encourage him to register to this forum because bit is a great source of information.
Thanks again
