Name a good holster for a Smith 629 6"

It really depends on what your preference is. I like a Western rig or cross draw slant holster.

There are lots and lots and lots of good holsters for N frame S&Ws, I've used Bianchi leather and Uncle Mike's nylon shoulder rigs, and hip holsters from several makers.

Haven't looked into the cross chest ones, though I should, thanks for reminding me! :)

I would say for maximum comfort while hunting. Still has to allow for quick draw in case a Smokey (no, not a lawman, army drill sergeant or a forest ranger, mind you) shows up suddenly. Depending upon deer-season weather, I might have a heavy jacket on or a Pendleton wool shirt. I can't see myself in cammies sporting a Savage 99 in the woods. I would always have a blaze orange vest on for safety and possible game law compliance too.

Goodness, at that price the belt ought be included!

Expensive yes indeed, but top quality.

A *very* well made, heavy duty, precise fitting, two position holster. Galco has a 20% off sale on all products this weekend. Use the promo code SUMMER if anyone is interested.

Bought a Clark Fork Leather (now Paradise Valley Leather) chest holster some years back, it is my go to for all types of carry in the woods.
Fits comfortably if riding ATV's, chopping wood or even hunting.

I purchased a Triple K (so called 'blem') 2-3 years back. in the neighborhood of 50 bucks. I have no idea why they said it was 'blemished', but who am i to argue. It caries my S&W 610 tight. Great holster for less for less than 100 bucks, check them out.
