i found a great buy a couple days ago, i got 3 guns for 300$, an m44, a hex and a cheap h&r 12ga
y question is with the hexreciever nagant, i stood it next to my ither 91/30 and the barrel is approx 3 inches longer, is this normal? it also has a different front and rear sight on it

the markings are as so

just under the rear sight is SA inside a square
under that is VKT in a diamond
then a D under that
then seriel number
then 1942 uner that

question is, is this Finnish?
or is there anything else that could make this a cool find?

It sounds like a Finnish M91. M91s are longer than M91/30s and have different sights. The markings clinch it. The SA is the Finnish Army property mark (Suomen Armija).
VKT stands for Valtion Kivaari Tehdas, which is Valmet today.

All that definitely makes it a cool find.

I know it's your gun, but please don't chop it up for a "truck gun". It may be worth more than the $ you paid for all 3 guns. And the history, yes the history.

thanks guys!!! i am very happy, i have always wanted on of these, the blue is amazing, like as black as my new taurus revolver, unfotuneatly they put a monte carlo stock on it

i would never chop a nagant

sks is a different story though

have fun, customize to your liking or not . sounds like a good buy. (wish i had a finish or an american mosin )
