Nagant loading issues...

So I just picked up my first nagant 91/30...I tore it all apart and cleaned it spotless. I went ahead and put on my new synthetic stock.

I just went to load my shells and they are TIGHT going in. When I shoot and cycle the bolt, it will not bring the next shell up. I just imagine the sythetic stock might need some work with a dremel. Anyone do this? Any tips?

While we are on the topic of nagants, what can I do to stiffen up the trigger. Its loose and takes a full trigger pull to fire...Any way to adjust those?

The Mosin Nagant has a cartridge interrupter that feeds only one shell at a time at the top of the magazine, with the rounds under the top one being under follower tension. It sounds like the stock you are using doesn't have enough clearance to allow the interrupter to work correctly. Take the rifle out of the stock and see if the interrupter is clear. It also serves as the ejector and it's the piece that moves on the left side of the receiver.
Look into it and you'll see how it works.

the trigger is easily polished and helps a bunch...there are a lot of tutorials.

i wouldnt try anything beyond that.

i am not sure what the loading problem is.

Did your Mosin do it before you changed the stock? try putting the original stock back on and see if it still does it.
