nagant 7.5

I have a revolver that has 7/5 nagant stamped on its frame. All Nagants I've seen have an exposed hammer. The pistol I have the hammer is inclosed in the frame. Does anyone know anything about this gun. My grandfather brought the weapon back from WWII.

I've never heard of one with an enclosed hammer. I have seen the shortened "police" version which is shorter than the military version and even a target version. One of the local shops has one marked "9.3mm" but no enclosed hammer. I used to have a good Nagant site bookmarked but have no idea what happened to it. I'll see if I can find it and post back.
IIRC the Polish also manufactured Nagants and maybe Spain(?) in addition to the Belgians and Russians. Since the bullet is actually 7.49mm in diameter then maybe that's what the barrel marking is.
If you find info on another site, please, post it here. I am really curious!

Nagant was just another gun company, not the name of the revolver itself. It's very likely that you've found some nice variants of civilian/police models. I know the Dutch used a 7.5mm caliber Nagant as a police service weapon, that might be one of them.

Assuming all Nagants are 7.62x38R Russian service pistols is like assuming all S&W's are 4" model 66 .357 magnums.

I believe Nagant was a gun designer (kind of like Luger. There was no company named "Luger") and 7.5 was a common chambering for European revolvers of the period. Yours is probably Belgian but would need pictures to be sure.
