Seems they are reporting that Nader may hurt ALgore in Kalifornia amoungst other places. Think about this when you're casting your third party votes...

From some reports I've read, there are Nader supporters who are having second thoughts. Ed Garvey, an ultra-liberal who ran for Wisconsin governor in 1996, has been a Nader-backer. He switched to Gore a couple of days ago. If a substantial number of Nader supporters defect to Gore, it could mean trouble for Bush.

Time to work on those lefties to get them to continue their support for Nader (including my dad :( ).

I visited my Grandfather in Toledo last weekend. 20 years as a UAW machinist, got a degree from Michigan, taught machine shop and math in a local high school - so NEA or equivalent. Very liberal / socialist.

We had a very short political conversation during my visit (no reason for a long political conversation with Grandpa, neither one of us is changing the other's mind).

Me: "Nader?"

Grandpa: "Yep"

Me: "Thought so"

I was / am very encouraged by this. :)

What would happen if Nader won the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia? I
suspect I'd fall of the chair laughing, but that's insignificant since
I live in Switzerland.

What would happen? :)

I am running around with a "Nader for President" pin on. I have a Nader lawn sign out front.

I am nominaly a Libertarian, will support Bush to be practical, and being in San Francisco my advertising will help the true cause.

Moving the liberal left to Nader is more realistic than moving the center to Bush (at least around here).

One of my belly dancing friends e-mailed this to everyone yesterday...DISCLAIMER: This does NOT reflect my views; I just wanted to give you guys a heads up on what's going on with that camp!

This is an excellent idea, forwarded to me by a friend in NYC. The URL
for the Nader Trader site is: http://www.nadertrader.org

If this appeals to you, pass it along to those you feel be similarly be
interested. If this strikes a negative chord for you personally, feel
free to spam me all you want, even though this wasn't my idea in the
first place. ;)

I'm here in one of those Bush-stronghold states. Virginia's electoral
votes will go to Bush regardless of my individual vote. I want the Green
Party to get the support it needs for greater recognition and funding,
and I'd also like to see Gore elected over George W. Anyone in a "swing
state" (including Washington, Oregon, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin,
Michigan, and Florida) want to trade with me? I'll vote for Nader, in a
state which is going to Bush anyway, and you vote for Gore, in hopes of
securing your state's electoral votes for the democrats.
