NAA Top Break

Fi on NAA! When I learned about their Ranger top breaking revolver, I was finally excited enough to actually get one of their nifty little revolvers, but $499 seemed quite a bit steep to me for what it is. I have higher priorities on my gun shopping list to drop that much on a whimsical last ditch carry pistol, especially since I already do have a small .380 that suffices for that role. So, I wait it out until it's been around a bit longer, thinking the price might come down a bit by now, and they have it on their site at the same price, but says "no longer in production"! I can understand that there's a bit extra machining, especially for the little ejector system in the cylinder (I imagine it has that, for what they're charging, maybe not?), but it still doesn't make sense to cost about twice the cost of an equivalent basic knurl pinned model. So, rather than bring down the price, they just throw in the towel, quitters. Purchasing one of their old model styles would just be eating too much crow for me now, after seeing what could have been. All that being said, I'd probably pay up to $300 for a used Ranger if anyone wants to part with one. ;)

they are going for over $3000 on gun broker

Are you kidding me.....

I held one at a LGS when they first came out, thought it was neat but had kind of a high price tag, so I handed it back over. If I only knew, I would of slapped down the cashola right there just to sell later on. :(

ETA: I see one on GB right now at $700 with one day left and a BIN price of $2600. Are people asking $3,000 or are people actually getting $3,000?

I would have purchased one of these had they actually decided to keep them as a regular production item. I love top break revolvers, and these little NAA's looked to be about perfect for playing around with, since they shoot cheap ammo and .22's won't wear them out.

Sadly NAA found out that they just couldn't produce these little gems and sell them at the price point they wanted to and make a profit, so they stopped production after the initial test run.
