NAA mini revolver

Just picked one up at a gunshow this weekend. Never thought of buying one before until I read about it on prior threads. It's a unique, little pistol. Good quality.

Does anyone really carry it for defense, a last ditch hide out? What are your defense loads? I have to agree with someone in a prior thread who carries with the hammer over an empty chamber. Looking carefully, if the hammer is over the 1/2 chamber slot, the amount of hammer retraction needed to rotate the cylinder over a loaded chamber is small compared ot when the hammer rests on an empty chamber.

Also, what holster do you guys carry with? Someone mentioned a pocket holster that kept the cylinder from rotating. Anyone use the Livesay neck holster?

Thanks

The best holster for me is the one I came up with about four years ago to carry a NAA Mini in a front pocket. It uses the NAA clip holster. You can see the set-up on PhotoPoint. It works real well for me. You can make it with only one piece of leather with two slots to slip the clip through. I made this one with two pieces with the clip sandwiched between.

You have to be there when it's all over. Otherwise you can't say "I told you so."

Better days to be,

My husband carries his NAA in a hard eyeglass case in his front pocket. It is slow to draw, and the gun is really too small to be anything but a last ditch effort when all is lost.

But he'd be in deep trouble if anyone caught him carrying at work, and this is close to perfect concealment.

Besides, if anyone did see it, they'd never believe it was a real gun ... it's so cute!

Everyone needs a NAA Mini in their personal collection. :) I've had one for a long time. (About '82) I sent it back to NAA and they put the "notched" safety cylinder in for free. Plus they refinished the whole pistol. Also for free.
I purchased a nylon holster from NAA directly. It not only holds the little pistol upright in my pocket, it also features a tiny velcro pocket that holds a reload. Pretty neat!
However, the neatest holster that I've seen for the Mini is made by RJ Hedley. It's a wallet type with an anti-print panel that goes in your back pocket. You can see a picture of the holster on his website.

Carry mine in a tobacco pouch.
They come is various sizes. Can
be purchased at any pipe store.
Leather, zippered, enough room for
the gun and an extra five rounds of
22. Absolutely does not look like
it contains a gun. Rides well in any
pocket.

I have the .22 magnum and Carry it in the Nylon Holster from NAA. Works well has a little loop to hold hammer down. Have pic of it on my site you can check it out if youd like..

Good Luck
