NAA Magnum Mini-or-Black Widow?

I have been tossing this around for a while now. This will be a complete back-up, always there gun. I understand that the BW will give better sight radius, velocity handleability, etc. BUT, I hate the grip, it weighs more then the Mini-magnums w/ 1 5/8 barrel, is taller and longer and cost more. I would replace the grip and that adds even more to the cost. So, is the BW better or the Mini-Mag? I am leaning towards the Mini-Mag. Thoughts, opinions, experience is much appreciated.

This is my personal opinion, I would choose the standard NAA magnum.

I have several friends, including some leo's, that carry a NAA mini in .22 Magnum. It is a defensive weapon for contact distances.

I would think it could be handy for "snake charming", if necessary. The CCI shot loading is pretty effective at close distances, more so than the larger shot sizes in larger calibers. That's the allure for me.

Between those two, you have a choice. Added concealability, or added controlability. I used to own a standard model and while it carried very well, would stand up in my hand under recoil. The BW model wouldn't do that with its bigger grip. but is bigger like you said.

Myself, I prefer the smaller standard model. If you ever had to use it it would be at contact distance and muzzle rise could be controlled by uh, screwing it into his ear first. Probly only get one shot anyway in that scenario.

i have the std. mag. model with the 1/8" tube and have the bw grips on it. with these grips you get a full handed grip on the little piece. like said above makes a great little piece for contact distance and a mighty fine snake charmer. i love the quality little piece and wouldnt hesitate to buy another
