NAA Guardian Owners

I only use FMJ in mine. Rem, Win, or Federal will all work. I currently have Rem 71gr fmj in mine. I want all the penetration I can get out of such a puny round!

Mine has worked with everything I've tried in it. Shot a bunch of S&B hardball for break in and in practice. I used mainly Hornady hollow points as carry ammo, also some Winchester silvertips. The only thing that has ever given it a hiccup was some FN hardball that was being sold cheap at gunshows recently. The bullet is a curious looking jacketed semi-wadcutter and the cartridge isn't loaded particularly hot. I shot a bunch of it up at the range, and twice in 100 rounds I had a failure to feed from the last cartridge in the magazine. I beleive that it happened because the cartridge wasn't cycling the action with enough energy to properly strip the cartridge out of the magazine. If you look at the follower, there is a little hump that engages the semi-rim. It is part of the design, but the Guardian likes full-power ammo as a result.
 
All things being equal, and tested in my gun, I use Fiocchi 60gr SJP.

Chrono's at 1100fps, feeds flawlessly, expands well, penetrates well (soaked phonebooks), and most of all, is cheap enough to buy a case and practice with.

Aprox $13 a box of 50 (compared to $15/box of 20 "premiums")

Look on the NAA website for total ballistic tables. The Fiocci is top spec.

My guardian digests everything I put threw it. I've concluded that hollow points don't expand enough to make any reasonable difference, so I carry with FMJ loads.
 
My dealer has them new for $399! Now thats $43. above NAAs suggested retail! I may have to look at the Kel Tec P-32 again.
 
Guardians were the best deal around until the Kel Tec P-32s came around. And everybody seems to be offering accessories for them too.

Half the price with a lifetime warranty.
