NAA Guardian Owners Impressions

Upon doing a search here it appears that there are reliability issues but most posts are one year or more ago. Have the issues been resolved and how do you like the Guardian now? Thanks.

I have a Guardian its about 2 months old now and have about 100 rounds thru it with out a Prob. has been very reliable and pretty accurate too. I have a pic of it on my site if you care to look. But I would definetly suggest getting one.

Mine has been fine. Pretty accurate for a mousegun too. Shooting it isn't particularly comfortable for me, so I don't shoot it that much. Note that you will likely get a stovepipe on the last round -- that's how they designed the gun.

Oh, in terms of size, they are similar in size to the Seecamp. Not as pretty a finish, but a lot cheaper than the Seecamp. You might also consider the Kel-tec P32, which is lighter and has a lighter trigger pull. Also cheaper.

Mine is the last gun from the first run.
Sent it back per the factory's request
so they could "upgrade" it like second
"generation" models. The early triggers
were annoying after a half dozen rounds.
Once that was improved, the gun has been
fine. Totally reliable. I shoot whatever's
cheap for fun, but carry Silvertips.

Have both a Guardian and Kel-Tec P32. Mine works fine with Fiocchi ball and Winchester Silvertips, haven't tried any other brands.

By the way, the price disparity seems to be going down, at least among those two guns. The 10/13/00 Gun List has an ad from Bachman Pawn & Gun -- Guardians are $269. I got my P32 for $220, but it's more common to see them selling for $250-299 in my area.

My Guardian is one of my favorite pocket pistols. Since I purchased a RJ Hedley back pocket holster, I carry it a lot more. Back pocket carry with the Hedley is the only way to go for me. It makes my Guardian feel light and works really well. When I reach for the pistol, the anti-print panel spreads and keeps the holster in my back pocket.
As I've said before, my Guardian is a little ammo sensitive. However, it runs just fine on Silvertips and Fiocchi FMJ and HP. I think the Fiocchi is a little better in my pistol, and I like being able to use either FMJ or HP ammo.
