NAA Black Widow

So, happened to see these cool little guys online and was wondering if anyone here has any first hand experiance with them?

I'm thinking it would be

A: Cool
B: Fun to plink with
C: Good CC gun for dress the required extreme concealability
D: Cool

I would get the convertable one with cylinders for 22 mag and LR. I'm most curious about the accuracy achievable with these. I've seen youtube video of popping ballons from 100ft but im wondering if thats really something consistenly achievable?

Thanks,
Beech

I own a Black Widow and carry it as backup when I carry my 642. With practice I have become proficient at self defense distance. I also own a Pug that I throw in my sweats pocket when I go to the gym.

I have one of the convertible models; .22 LR and .22 WMR. The gun will not reliably strike the magnum rounds with enough force to ignite the primer. Works fine with .22 LR. I bought and installed a new hammer spring for the gun but haven't had the time to test it.

had to replace the main spring on my widow, would say at 10 ft groups of 4 5 inches if I take my time. I have mag only with adj sites...can put in pocket holster, front pocket forget it.

if you want accuracy you need to pick between the 22 mag and 22lr the bullets are different sizes. id personally go with the 22lr for cheap ammo and the fact that a 22mag is still shooting a 22 bullet. shot placement is the only way this gun will be effective for self defense no matter which of the 2 calibers so you might as well get the one you can shoot more for the same price

I have the 22mag version. It is accurate out to about 7 yards (21 feet). Not bad if you ask me. And they are quality little revolvers. Very nice craftsmanship.

I think the Black Widow is an excellent small revolver and probably the best of the NAA minis. It has very usable rubber grips, good sights, and with practice is capable of delivering accurate shots at considerable distance. It is large enough to hold securely and small enough to conceal easily.

I've been carrying a BW in a pocket (.22 Mag cyl) fo the last 10 years. regardless of what other CCW I happen to be carrying elsewhere on my person.
I look upon it like I do the pocket knives I've carried since I was 7 years old ( a looooong time ago).

I never liked the oversize BW rubber bumpers (YMMV), and so replaced them with NAA's hard rubber birdshead panels.

While the BW "can" be shot accurately via using the proper method (NOT like a normal-sized SA revolver), to look for good target accuracy from a "stick-it-in-someone's-ear-gun" is IMHO an unreasonable expectation.

The BW can go forth, where no larger gun has ever gone before. ;)
