Well I decided to add a little one to my collection of big ones. Saw one at Local gun store going to fill out paperwork tomorrow and have to wait 8 whole days :( oh well .
How are these little things? have been reading some good things about them. I have a .32 guardian and love that but just want one of these little guys..

Thanks

Shooter,
You know me!
I had to have one of these too!
It's a jewel of a little pistol that truly feels like "nothing" in your pocket. Mine is loaded with Stingers. I keep mine in a nylon pocket holster from NAA that has a little velcro pocket that holds a reload. However, I just got a back pocket holster for my Guardian from RJ Hedley that is so nice I'm thinking of buying one for the Mini also. The pictures of the holsters for the Mini's are on his website. I think that's the way I'll go.

I've always looked at the the NAA minirevolvers as a "must have in the collection" type of gun. It's just so well made and inexpensive that I think everyone should try one!

I've got a 22 mag with the 1 5/8 inch barrel. And I just got a Minimaster. Taking it to the range tomorrow.

Well I ordered my NAA .22LR today can't wait have to wait untill tuesday though :( Bummer I also tried to order the Nylon pocket holster from NAA and was told they were on a 2 week backorder!! I will have to call back in a couple of weeks for that :( OH well

Thanks

I figure the NAA mini is a fun toy. Couldn't resist getting one. Really nifty.

But... Considering the low power, frequent "thrown" rounds, and difficulty aiming (durn thing's SMALL!), if I need that I'd probably be better off with a knife, which I carry always.

Cooper's take on such mouseguns, paraphrased: "If carrying it comforts you, do so...but do not load it. If you load it, you may have occasion to use it. If you fire it, you may hit someone, and they will be annoyed and have reason to do you great harm."

Said it elsewhere: Loaded with the 22LR shotshell its handy for 'straightening out snakes' - should the need arise and nothing more convincing is handy and the range is pretty close. One has to agree with Col. Copper though, on its use as a 'defense weapon'.
But they are beautifully built. Just that standard of workmanship alone was enough reason to ad one to my collection some ten years ago.

another anecdote:

there was fat guy that took 6 .357 magnums to the gut point blank and lived. the state trooper took a .22lr from a naa under the arm and died.

I saw the videotape of that (camera was rolling in the cop's car). Pretty startling & sobering. As Ayoob put it: "don't shoot a guy in a body part that he doesn't want" (the perp was very fat).

There is no question that a .22LR _can_ kill. The question is will it stop your assailant when you want it to. Don't plan on it.

shooter45,

I am not interested in hurting anyone. I want them to stop immediately whatever threatening behavior that requires me to shoot them.

Know what I mean?

(If you don't you shouldn't carry.)

Have you seen the back pocket holsters RJ Hedley makes for the Mini? Really nice! I went to his website to order a back pocket holster for my Guardian and the ones for Minis look so fine that I'm going to have to get one of those also.
His Mini is in the pictures. The grips are ivory Micarta. Now that is good looking stuff!

(Am I the only guy who likes back pocket carry? :))

I like my little NAA. I keep it for a left handed draw in the magazine pouch on my belly band. For those situations when I'm pinned on the ground and can't draw my Kahr (which is at my SOB) and have to shove something up the bad guy's nostril.

And then I splurged and bought the mother of pearl grips. Oooh, is it PURRRTY!

WLM,

Nope. I love BPC.

But I like a real gun in my Royal Guard (will horsehide ever wear out?).
