NAA .22

Anyone know of a shortened main pin that doesn't place one's finger in front of the 1-1/8" barrel?

Anyone know of a modified .22LR load that burns most of the powder within the 1-1/8"th barrel (with relatively good performance), rather than burning most of it outside? or other LR load designed for a short barrel rather than a Long Rifle?

Any particular recommendations for accessories?

I have the NAA 22 magnum. I dont see how the pin is a problem. Maybe im barking up the wrong tree, but how does ammo burn your gun barrel? You have to remember, while shooting the NAA .22 the gun is very small and is going to show the marks more than a compact or full size pistol.

The NAA is a quality firearm but i agree it could have been beter with full size features.

With the short barrel, pressing the take-down button places your finger right next to - if not partly in front of - the muzzle. Makes me twitchy.

What I mean is that most of the powder gets blown out of the short barrel before it burns up, wasting most of the powder. A faster-burning powder would use up the powder where it's useful: inside the barrel. I don't know enough about reloading to properly understand the various factors involved.

OK, think about this, 1911 pistol owners carry their guns cocked and locked. They arent in any danger by holding their hand in front of the barrel. Nor should you be. If the hammer is down on that NAA you dont have to worry about it.

I agee though, I was feelin' kinda weird holding my finger in front of that barrel too while unloading a fully loaded gun. But like 1911 owners, i realized it perfectly safe.
