NAA .22 Revolver?

I had the 22 magnum version I toted for years. I fired many boxes of shells thru it and it never malfunctioned. I just couldn't hit the side of a barn with it! It is good for close up only, which you know, but it was fun to shoot and did give me comfort knowing I had it on me. I beleive I would rather have something more accurate though. You wouldn't want to have to make a shot over a few feet with it. I am thinking about the kel-tec 9 mm myself for pocket carry. I haven't shot one yet but I do like the 10 round capacity in such a small pistol and from what Iv'e read on TFL, they are supposed to be a good value and reasonably accurate. I found one for $230.00 at a local shop so that is in the same range as the NAA.Good Luck

Yes Sir; I own the .22 Magnum 1-1/8" barrel
version, as well. Conceal's easily; even in
a Marlboro flip top empty cigarette box, for
"deep concealment" purpose's!! :) Just enough
to get a bad guy off of you; although this is
not a target revolver. :D

I`ve had on for quite a few years. It`s a very nicely made little gun and SUPER easy to carry. It IS hard to shoot well but reasonable speed and accuracy can be attained with practice. When I let people try it I start em out at about 10'. After shooting it for years I can make good hits out to 10 yds. They`re just the thing to have when you can`t carry a gun. ;) Marcus

I've confessed to having a number of
mouse guns, any one of which I carry
in my pocket whem I'm around the
house. Yes, I have a NAA Mini in
.22LR also. Had it for years. It
works well, and I keep it loaded
with Stingers. Any gun is better
than no gun, and when I'm in my easy
chair, I don't want to be poked in
the back by a belt gun. My Mini is
so old that it didn't have the new
"notch safety" feature in the
cylinder. I sent it back to NAA and
they put one in for free, plus many
other updated parts. Plus they
refinished the little gun. All free!
Great company.

ctdonath,

I have had one of the .22lr version for about ten years. As previously stated, and I'm sure you already knew, it's not for target shooting. I have put many boxes of shells through it and not had a single malfunction, kind of hard to screw up a revolver. IMHO it's worth owning one as long as you don't plan to shoot it at much past the end of your nose. If you like the little revolver but would like to shoot farther with it they also make a long barrel version, I think they call it Black Widow. Also for a gun not much bigger than the mini NAA also has the .32 guardian too.

Saw a really truly weird one at a store here: a Black Widown 22mag 4" with *Millet target sights* on top! Given the heavy trigger, it was quite an interesting excercise to fire one accurately (I did not use live ammo, just snapped on an empty casing). I wonder if the sideblast from the cylinder gap (which is way too close to the user's hand) would be a concern. On the plus side, it certainly wouln't print as a gun, being long and thin and very low from bottom of the grip to the top of the sights.

I have the 22 mag and like it fine.
Only regret is I would like to have the longer barrel, it's only .5in more but I think it would help and not make much of a carry difference.
I also have the oversized grips for when I really want to shoot it much.
Keep the first cylinder filled with snake shot so I don't have to be too accurate.
Real reliable and small. I would do it again.

I have the NAA 22 magnum as well. I like it, but i feel a bit underpowered although its loud enuff to scare away a bear !

I carry hollowpoints in mine. Its a great little piece if you cant carry your primary gun. Given the chance, I'd trade it for the keltec .32

Why dont you get rid of that nickel plated sissy pistol and get yourself a glock. :::Tommy Lee Jones:::

A friend of mine has been considering one of these for some time. The only thing that has kept him from getting one is the method one has to use to reload. You have to remove the whole cylinder. There was a story in one of the gun magazines about potential dangers of different handguns. For the NAA Mini 22's it listed this as a potential danger. It seems that a person was killed when they dropped a loaded cylinder while trying to get the gun back together. The weight of the cylinder landing on a rimfire cartridge was enough to make the bullet fire. It killed another person standing next to him.

Ctdonath,

I just got a Guardian. I urge you to take a look. The trigger is very good for a pocket pistol and the .32 Silvertip is a heck of a lot more effective out a 2" barrel than a .22LR. After just a few shots with the Guardian I was able to get a two inch group at seven yards. Plenty good enough.

The NAA mini in 22 S is the smallest 5 shot gun that I have ever seen.

Great for an up your nose backup piece.
I love mine.

Also, the 22 LR/mag with 1 5/8 barrel is a nice backup gun also. Loud sucker.

However, the P-32 is probably a better gun as it is almost the same in size with caliber advantages.
