Hi fellow shooters,

I looking to pick some brains from the experts out here. I have not been playing with wheel guns in a while so I need some value help here. I recently purchased two revolvers from a guy who had them left to him from a family member. He doesnt have any interest in guns so he called me and offered to sell them to me. Here is what they are.

Smith 25-2 6 1/2 pinned barrel .45 acp unfired in the presentation case with all paperwork and accessories.

Smith 629 8 3/8 pinned barrel and recessed cylinder also unfired in presentation case with paperwork and cleaning accessories.

I live in Texas and see them once in a while at the Dallas gun shows. The smith collectors have them on the table at premium prices, but they want to offer you $250 for them when you show them one of your own so they can put it on thier table for $600.
I need some input on whether I should sell them locally or somewhere where they are more scarce. any help will be appreciated.

If you want to sell them put them up on one of the auction sites (www.gunbroker.com or www.auctionarms.com) with a $350 starting price and see what happens. I suspect that they will go for $400-$500 but the bidders will determine the value. I have seen them go higher and I have seen them go unsold.

If all you want is an estimate then you can say any amount that sounds good to you. You never really know what something is worth until you try to sell it.
