Mystery Stevens Trigger

Hi all. New to the group. First time posting.

I am currently working on a friend’s Stevens double barrel side by side 12 gauge.
It has a broken trigger that I am trying to replace. I have looked all over numerich and eBay trying to find a trigger that matches, but to no luck.

Anyone have any idea of the model of this gun and/or where I could find a new left side trigger?

Pics attached.

My first shotgun was a Stevens Model 530A ST It was made at Chicopee Falls.Seems like in the 1930s,as I recall.

Yours says "Patent Applied For" I might guess yours is earlier than mine, which was model marked.

I'm going to hazard a guess, based on looking at the parts. Mine was a 20ga double, and the "ST" suffix was for "Single Trigger" It had a single, non selective trigger. Left barrel first. You could not select the barrel with the safety.

I don't see evidence of a broken part. Yours may be a single trigger gun

Its been over 40 years since I parted with it. I don't recall whether it had an inertia trigger reset. I did have a single trigger SKB with an inertial reset.

At least on the SKB.once you pulled the trigger, and the first hammer dropped,it required either the recoli of firing,or bumping the butt on the carpeted floor to reset the trigger for the second barrel.
Someone who is not familiar with that sort of trigger might think something was wrong when it was fine.It just needed its butt bumped

Please do use snap caps. Dry firing without hurts them. The lead Blindstitch
gave you appears good.
