Gun show yesterday, fellow offered me a lever action. Nice, obviously fired only a few times and never carried on a hunt. Uberti 45 L.C. Man said it was copy of Winchester Model 1892. His price $500.00. Said he bought it new. I already have 3 lever actions including a .444 Marlin, so really had no need for the .45. Searching on the internet makes me believe that it really was a 1892 clone. But my search also seems to show that Uberti never made such a rifle. Can anyone clarify? And the Uberti lever action clones seem to cost far more than the $610.00 that this fellow said he paid for his. So did I pass up a good deal?
