Spanish Mauser...

My uncle has an old rifle that he brought to me not sure what it is... it is a bolt action that has the appearance of a mauser. There is a word on top of the receiver that starts with an F with a stamp of a crown. Looks to be early 20th century(actual date is unreadable past 191) the stock does not have a band holding it to the barrel not sure if that will help anyone determine the age. I know my description is vague but does anyone have any idea what this might be?????

I will try to upload pictures as soon as I can. I also plan to give a more details of the inscription on the receiver tomorrow.

New information!!!!!!!!

So I talked to my uncle and he gave me the inscription on the gun: Fabrica De Armas Oviedo 1910-1912... Does anyone know what size bullet this shoots? He would like test it out, and does anyone know how much these sell for? It also has a repeating number on all the parts of the gun...

Spanish Mauser, built in the Ovideo arsenal, it originally was 7mm Mauser, but the original barrel may have been replaced.

Look for stamps on the barrel and post pics if you can. The crown on the receiver top will have the manufacture date under the crown. If the manufacture date is unreadable, then you likely have a firearm that has been converted or otherwise altered, have a cerrocast of the chamber made if you aren't able to determine the caliber.
