My suggestion for women to carry

If I carried concealed my method would be the holster Gunslinger and I have, I have several reasons for this. I'm not a carrier as of yet but I do wear this at gunshows all day long. It is very comfortable and you can wear it with any attire you have, yes I agree some things aren't as easy to get to with your dressing attire, but I would feel alot safer with the gun on my person as to in a fanny pack or my purse becasue these things can be removed from you very quickly if you get into a certain situation, believe me if I got into a situation and needed a gun real quickly I wouldn't worry about what it did to my dress or blouse getting to it, clothes are replaceable but your life isn't. With this holster women have the advantage because we have something extra on top to tuck guns under, this would to me be the most concealed place for a women to carry would be under the arm pit as Dennis described in the other thread, and it does work very well because like I said I do this at gunshows for demonstration and it is very comfortable and any gun of any size can be concealed very easily. We have many women who purchase these because of the reason not to have to carry in a purse or something and the availability to get to the gun quickly. What most women do is buy them in white because this way if they have a button shirt on and if you can see through the button front it just looks like their under garment. This holster accomodates any size gun, its not gun specific so you can carry a different one every day if you have to guns and want to do this. The other advantage to using one of these you don't have to wear that extra clothing when it is so hot outside to hide the gun, it will conceal under just about anything, not a bikini of course, LOL but with clothing within reasoning. Many wheelchair people use this method too, its easy for them to access their gun.

Terri, what about those stretch shirts? How can you conceal it with those? Women wear all kinds of clothing so it's defintley harder for us. I guess I don't have to worry seeing that we can't carry here anyway but I bet this is a problem for those that can carry.

Oh Daaaaaarrrrrttttthhhhh where are ya? You carry, how do you conceal?

Stretch shirts?

No...

When you choose to carry - you have to give some things up. There is no have you cake and eat it too. Deciding to carry a gun at all times is a life style change. This means wardrobe change too for most people. Stretch cloths of any type are not an option unless your carry method can change...
Maybe a strechy shirt under another loose fit shirt that covers the weapon.

Now - I'm all for women in tight fitting cloths... but you have to give some things up. Fanny packs or any other off body carry are just NOT an option in my opinion. That gun should be attached to you belt or straped to you person another way.

OMG I am so embarrased! I was just asking because that is in 'fashion', I am sure women that carry must wear them. Umm ladies back me up here won't ya ;)

Ragin, are you crazy? Me trust Terri with a gun! She drops the air soft trainers we use for demos. :o
Seriously, she does wear her Taurus PT92 in one of our rigs in the conventional shoulder holster position while at shows. She tucks it in under her left.........ah.......er.......she tucks it. :o She wears hers on the out side of her clothing to demonstrate where it is positioned. I wear mine with a 6" Smith model 29 in one side and a Desert Eagle on the other under a dress shirt to demonstrate the concealment abilities of the rig.
Terri is not yet comfortable with a gun to carry. She is still learnig the fundamentals.

Don't trust me, boy is he going to pay tonite, no supper for several days, I don't get back I just get even. LOL
Miss D. if you choose to wear a stretch shirt your going to have to wear a shirt unbuttoned or vest along with that and then it will conceal, it will conceal under a t-shirt though.
cplane, sorry we don't have a website, but if you go to the thread in general that Dennis started that picture they got there is very similar but it don't have the shoulder straps, it does have material on the inside so it won't slide down on you torso.

So is the Eagle a 44 to match the 29? Or is it a 50 AE?

Oh boy are you in trouble!

PS Remember gun rentention

Glamdring the Eagle is a .44 it belongs to a friend of ours, we use it for demonstration at the shows and try to sell it for him. Slinger does carry two every day, he carries his 6" N frame 29 and his 1 5/8" N frame snubby 29, he carries both with this holster and just under a reg. western dress shirt.

Food retention will do more than gun retention but if he don't behave I will have to do both. :)
