It was a hard decision at the LGS today. They had a "new" model 10 that was beautiful, but had the lock. I decided to wait for an old used one to come in.
The new 627 looks good in the wood grips but hot loads punish my thumb. Will be looking for something to cover the back strap.
Here's two of my three snubbys. (Don't have any pics of my older S&W "airweight" snubby).
S&W .45 acp model 1917 with cut barrel, relocated front sight and vintage Jay Scott laminated wood to poly grips. She's "in the white" with no finish other than highly polished.
