Damn, it is here! I am a proud new PAPA once again! Finally, I saw and held my baby for the first time. Man, she is one fine looking/handling gun. All the guys at the gun shop have never seen nor held the P220ST before, and everyone was druelling and gawking over it. Ten more days, and I get to take her home for her first oil bath before we go out to play at the ranges for the first time. My new baby is coming home after Thanksgiving. Will post my range report soon after Thanksgiving!:p

Consider me green with envy! I made my brother-in-law take me out to the range yesterday so I could shoot his 220. I'm in love - I will have one!

Took this Pic from a site and is not mine, but this is what it looks like exactly!!!

"You lucky sob!
I second that picture suggestion, some multi-angle ones if you please!" By Nine

Ha! Ha! Ha! Common, don't make any more difficult. Promise to post some later. Yes it is a fine gun! Stainless slide and frame. Notice the SigSport heavy butt plated magazine and the Picatinny style mouting rails for tactical lights, lol. How's this pic?

Saw one at a gun shop today. I'm not really a Sig fan, but the weight the stainless frame provides really balances out the gun and the accessory rail is a nice addition. The finish was nice as well.

Silly question!

If the ten days is suppose to be a cooling off period then why does it not start when you ordered the gun instead of when it arrives. You are just as cool after ten days of waiting for an order to come in as you are if you waited ten days from when you found it on the store shelf.

At least in Indiana we have an instant check.

NICE!!!

I think that is a beatiful weapon!

I have narrowed my decision down to three pistols and the P220 is one of them.

Here is my question... I have bee to the SIG web sight and to several stores, and I have not seen the "ST" - Would you tell me how it differs from the P220 ???

Thanks

Would you tell me how it differs from the P220 ???

The standard P220 has a stamped & welded slide and an Aluminum frame. The P220ST is all stainless steel.

The P220ST is just a P220 Sport without the frame mounted comp. Still nice though.

The 10 days start when the shop has a serial number to record with a buyers name. From what I have been told, it is not a cooling off period but a time frame in which a background check can be done...

SHAKE:

I could not find it anywhere here in South Cali that could get me one within a reasonable date. And all of them wanted $800-$900 for it, which is just plain ridiculous. With the tax and DROS/shipping/transfer fee, I would pay $1000 for it. HELL NO! I went to sigtalk.com and a few guys there found a shop in Dallas, Texas called SPORTINGARMS.COM, Tom and Becky Harris the owners who is an authorized Sig dealer, and they are always getting the P220ST in stock in a weekly basis, but goes off the shelf as quick as they arrive. They quoted me and the other guys $679 for the P220ST plus $16 for shipping. Damn, that is a good price! That is how much the regular blued P220 cost here in California. The other guys alreayd have range reports of their Sigs and they are loving it! I can't wait to take mine out. i waited 1 week for my Sig to arrive. Not a bad wait at all.

Oh damn, I've started a cult following, lol. I spoke to Tom and Becky and told them to expect a bunch of you to come knocking down their door for the P220ST, lol. Tell them I, Larry sent you!

Here's a quick answer:
It was never really meant to be a cooling off period. IMHO this stupid victim disarmament law was passed to make it that much harder for law abiding citizens in Kalifornia to arm themselves.
When has it ever been proven that a ten day waiting period ever did anything to prevent the worst from happening? You'd have to be an idiot to think up something like this, but look where this law was passed.
Also the one handgun a month law is in effect in PRK.
So now whenever they pass another anti-gun,pro criminal law you can't run out and buy many guns before the new law goes into effect. Its the same thing.
Death by a thousand cuts. You know how the anti's are always claiming that sales are down in the PRK? Why do you think? The liberal fascists are hoping one day that all guns in the PRK will be illegal and this is just another step in our disarmament.
