My Semi-Auto, shoots shorts ???

Through my progression on this learning curve, I have owned and worked with many .22LR rifles. I'm currently working on a "Vintage" Stevens Semi-Auto .22. Like many of it's kind, this one will shoot LR's in semi-auto and shorts, as a bolt. It's tube fed and if I wish, I can alternate the ammo. Now, Browning and Winchester made dedicated rifles that will shoot shots but this one will shoot all three. There are many sweet little rifles out there that work this way and you just have to keep an eye out for them. ...... :)

Be Safe !!!

The Remington 552 Speedmaster is the only semi I'm aware of which will shoot shorts, longs, and subsonics *reasonably* well straight out of the box, due to innovative design.

When I was a kid any .22 at the Gambles hardware store that would NOT shoot shorts, longs and long rifles was looked on with deep suspicion.

These were the $20 new guns you bought off the rack and if the clerk went to get the box you said 'why???'.
