My revolver

Just wanted to share some pics I got around to taking of my revolver. As of now it's bone stock except for the chigs grips leopardwood panels.

I've already received suggestions of a trigger job, better grips, and a different front sight. My next planned improvement is painting the front blade: three coats of white testors model paint and a coat or two of fluorescent red. As of now the front sight is hard to pick up on a dark target.

3 inch Sp 101's are real nice, I have one that I like to carry in the woods. Nice size, handles hot loads and accurate with fixed sights.

"go box"

The wife won't let me keep it bedside, so here's the "go box" I keep it in. Two speed loaders, two speed strips, and another 20 rounds (40 total).

Very nice revolver and case. How does it shoot with the fixed rear sight? An SP101 is on my short list for a woods gun, but having shot mostly pistols I'm not quite sure what to expect from a revolver with a fixed rear sight.

AeroEngineer, I have no complaints with the fixed sights. It shoots where I point it. I'd be more concerned with the sight radius playing a role in accuracy than the fixed sight. I am more accurate with it firing 38 special than 357, and it's about the lightest gun I'd want to fire 357s with.
