.....so here's the deal. I went to Cabela's about 5-6 days ago to pick up an 1858 for $219. I thought that was a good deal but they didn't have any in stock. :( Then I saw the coupon book was selling the same gun for $50 off starting today. Imagine the disappointment when I figured they didn't have any in stock less than a week ago.

Well I was in Cabela's yesterday and they had one! Only one in stock, but the sale didn't start until today and they wouldn't hold it or sell it to me at the discounted price. So I was the first one in the door as they opened today. I had the number 1 ticket at the gun counter. I kid you not, the lady with #2 was there for the same gun. I got lucky. They had to order one for her.

Anyhow my new 1858 steel framed gun to add to my collection.....

I've a hankerin' for a '51... maybe even a brasser

I have one of those too. It was my first BP revolver. It's an addiction I tell ya...an addiction! I can't stop buying.

Very purty grips on that 1858. Looks like the guy who applies the caramel orange finish for Pietta was out sick that day. How's the quality of the Pietta...does the cylinder free spin easily...hows the timing?

The quality seems great to me, especially for $169. The cylinder does spin freely and timing seems fine. I am going to go out and shoot it this afternoon.

congrats nice looking shooter.

I just called them up today, they are an hour North of me, and they didnt have any in stock so they are shipping it to me for the same price as the coupon, very good deal, i hope i saved on the sales tax as well as the shipping, that would be a very good deal indeed.

so if they do not have one in your area call the nearest store and they should honor the coupon price over the phone.

Good luck with your new revolver

Dave
