My new tirade for antis

So you don’t like guns? You want to register guns? What gives you the right to tell others what hobbies they can enjoy? Hitler would love someone like you.
He registered guns. Then he rounded up the Jews and killed them. The Jews had no guns.
How would you like to be told how many kids you can have? Like it is in China where the people can’t own guns.
We gun owners don’t want to tell YOU what hobbies you can enjoy. What arrogance you have.
I know God gave you a brain because you are standing there and breathing. But he sure gave you a serious shortage of sense.
You claim to be against violence. Can’t you see that you are violence’s best FRIEND? You want to make it so people can’t defend themselves AGAINST violence.
Violence LOVES people like you. Let violent people know that their victims have no guns. Does that make sense to you?
Did you see the movie, “Braveheart?” When Mel Gibson shouted “Freedom” while he was being gutted, did that mean anything to you?
Now, go think about it and take your arrogant stupidity out of my presence.

That's my new tack. Confrontational and shaming. Most of the antis can't handle shame. Sure, that's generalizing, but so what? It matches their tactics.
It also hits their hot buttons on violence and points out the stupidity of their logic (or lack of)
It also associates them with what they think they are against, violence.
Time to take off the kid gloves.

Lavan,

I think we need more of that. We need to get on the offensive/proactive side for a change. The defensive "but, but, but it's my right and you are'nt solving crime by doing that", does'nt seem to work.

Even during hunting season, your made to feel like a kid sneaking around skipping school. The anti's love making us feel embarrased by liking firearms and hunting, target shooting, etc.

The interesting thing is, liberals preach tolerance all the time, but have become extremely intolerant towards anyone not supporting their views, agenda's and issues. I think they are the same types as the ones who said "free barabas". So we should'nt expect common sense from them anyway.

When confronted, expose them for the hypocrites they are. Maybe a few will at least think about their stance allowing them to become neutral or even join us.

I like to ask 'why, if they don't like guns, is the first thing they do when trouble threatens them, is call a guy with a gun to come protect them? Why, if they won't fight for their own life, do they expect some underpaid civil servant to do it for them? . . . " Depending on the tone of the conversation (i.e. showing signs of at least considering another point of view and the facts), I either continue to engage them constructively, or if they are completely intrasient, point out that they are banal, hypocritcal cowards, and let it go at that. Unfortunately, a good strong argument will not win over many people. This is not the age of reason.

For some, it is more effective to personalize it. "My wife and I have guns to protect ourselves. Would you like to come to the shooting range some time?"

With the argument approach, some will just put up their defenses, and it won't matter what you say.

In this, it is not enough to be right. You also have to persuade.

"This is not the age of reason."

Yep. There's no reasoning with them. I don't even try. I just talk about how the President is a ******** rapist who runs around the Oval office in his underwear playing with himself and how in hell could some ********* lunatic like that get elected?

ALARM! ALARM! CIVILIZATION IS IN PERIL! THE BARBARIANS HAVE TAKEN THE GATES!

Easy, Munro. Don't blow a gasket. You're right, of course, but spend the adrenalin on somebody who's worth noticing...

Rants are good for venting, and may help the ranter--but they don't help anybody's cause.

Art,
I am tired of trying to make friends with, or being friendly with, people who want to eat me alive. I underdstand your concern, but I'm over here in Japan, and many of the Westerners over here enjoy industrial fascism, love the sensitive, caring police state, HATE America, and the very idea of freedom anyway. I could go on, but you get the idea.

Munro....Sympathize with you. Japan is often cited as the example of the non-gun model.
What is never discussed is that Japan is not the USA. They do not have the same elemental problems that we do.
They do not have certain societal elements or entire neighborhoods that wantonly disregard laws and act in shameful manners.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I would bet that there are not entire sections of Japanese cities that have been made into war zones with glang-blangers (bad pun) running around and doing store invasions.
It is IMHO just not a comparison.

A debater always runs into accusations of "prejudice" or "racism" or somesuch but it is not a coincidence that prison populations reflect very accurately what many of our problems are.

****************************************
And those problems are not gun-related.
****************************************

It is a separate issue that runs far deeper and more serious than the RKBA but unfortunately (fortunately for the lying antis) no debate is focused on the real problems.
And no, color is not the issue nor the problem.

I don't waste my breath on antis. If in the course of my day I run across one, I just give them one of these "gun free zone" stickers I had made up...got the design from Silent March's stuff page And then I tell 'em "You just put that in your window or on your door...MY house has NRA and Glock stickers on it." I bet those clueless idiots STILL don't get it.

Dittos, missmanytoes.

To an anti, being an anti is a matter of faith. The only way to deal with antis is to:

1) neutralize their power by beating their chosen ones at the ballot box: unless their candidates win, their opinions are like fried air - viz. a useless circle of synapses in a number of nameless heads;

2) promote an aggressive , counter-brainwashing pro-gun media campaign; thanks to the "new media" and the entrepreneurship of some of the new pro-gun groups, this has already started to happen.

Antis are the non-thiking product of years and years of inertia-by-indoctrination by an elite which, until recently, has dominated the means of information, virtually unchecked. The anti is a non-curious lazy animal, with a propensity for easy soundbites and pre-digested ideas. Finding facts is not his suit - too much bother. Besides, the anti has a penchant for "agreeing with the majority view". Better side with that talking head on TV - hey, if he made it on TV, he can't be that far off the mark - and at least my opinion won't be unpopular.... Too much effort to have to put forth and prove and explain away my brave yet unpopular position around the lazy's water-cooler.

Lastly, the average anti does not really have a passion for his position. Being an anti is just the lazy way out of an issue that would require an intellectual effort. Hey, we don't really need guns (at least I know I don't) so why don't we all just turn them in and get the whole thing over with already?!

I say, defeat them, counter-brainwash them and, until totally de-programmed, defeat them again!!!

Private gun ownership is the capital sin in the left's godless religion. Crime is merely a venial mistake.
