My new old S&W 10 no-dash

I just got back home to take pictures of this new find. I found this model 10 no-dash in 95% plus condition (looks almost brand-new) at a local pawn shop. It has barely a turn ring and very faint burn rings on the face of the cylinder. Probably only shot a few cylinders and put away in a drawer somewhere. This one has the screw in front of the trigger guard. What is the generation of model 10? I was told it was made in 1960.

Here are a few pictures :D This one will be the safe queen. It is posing with my 1984 Hong Kong Customes & Excise unissued trade in (my user).

I gotta get me one of those,,,

I own nine S&W revolvers,,,
But have yet to get another Model 10.

I owned one for a short while,,,
But a friend begged me to sell it to him,,,
I thought why not since I can easily find another.

It was the perfect introductory centerfire revolver.

A 1960 Model 10 - which the SN confirms that it is - should be a 10-1; that number should be stamped in the frame cutout. Yours is the so-called 4-screw configuration. The upper side plate screw (5th screw) was eliminated in 1955; the trigger guard screw - which holds the spring and plunger for the cylinder stop - was dropped with the Model 10-4 in 1962.

It says Model 10. There is no dash and number after. This is in the frame cutout behind the crane. Must of been one of the last ones before the -1s.
