I must say its VERY VERY accurate with the 3x9x40 scope(redhead) I bought. The gun doesn't jam at all and I was using CCI Mini Mag Hollow Points, and I went through about 88 rounds in about 20 minutes with very close groups almost bullseye at 55 yards,Im going to buy a digital camera tommorow to posts some pics and take a video so you can really believe me lol :D Its a very fun rifle to shoot. If any of you newbies want a VERY accurate .22 then the Marlin 60 .22LR is the best choice you could go with.I must say its the best bang for your buck. It takes me back to the old days when I used to shoot my old 60 taking birds heads off at 25 yards around 10 or so years ago. Ill call it "Fun Gun" or "my little friend" :D:D:D

Absolutely love mine, did a home trigger job on it that I found at rimfirecentral and it shoots like an absolute dream. Accurate and it chews through any kind of ammo I've fed it. Seems like it really likes winchester hollow points, I havent been able to get my hands on any CCI mini-mags around here for years.

Love them! In fact, bought my son his first 22 and it was a Marlin 60C. He's been shooting it so well, and learning with iron sights that we just got him a scope for his birthday. 2x *thumbsup*

Marlin 60s have caused a lot of smiles. Inexpensive to buy and inexpensive to feed and accurate.

I have 2 - 60 SBs, and I love them both. You can't beat them for squirrel and rabbit, and I have an extra in case someone wants to go hunting and doesn't have a .22 LR.

You should shoot some Wolf Match .22 LR through it! You'll really be surprised then. :)

I bought one for Dad back in the late 70's for a Birthday Gift. Well I guess I have shot it more than he has. :) It has been an accurate dependable .22 rifle and it would be a toss up between my 10-22's and the model 60 as far as which one is my favorite. Probably just boils down to tube fed or magazine fed and what day of the week it is. ;)

Please post a link- the mushy trigger on mine is my only complaint.

I'd take a Model 60 over a 10-22 any day of the week. Here's my daughter's first gun I bought her when she turned 10. Didn't have to get a new barrel, stock, trigger kit or anything to make it accurate. Imagine that. :D
