Hello everyone.
I just picked up my new Makarov from my FFL. So far, I really like it. I'm very pleased with the quality of the gun.
I was under the impression that it was a Bulgarian Military Mak, but once I got it home I noticed it has the Russian mark (triangle with verticle line inside a circle) It also has what looks like russian letters in the serial number on both the slide and frame. The frame also has "C.A.I. GEORGIA VT." on it.
On the other side, the frame is marked "BULGARIA" and "9MM MAKAROV"
It came with what makarov.com describes as Bulgarian commercial grips.
I'm confused!
Can anyone help explain this?
I'll also see if I can figure it out over at Makarov.com.
Thanks
