Kidding, obviously. An impressive piece of engineering nonetheless.

This will be the death knell of Jenga and Lincoln Logs in Britain...

Sorry couldn't resist. That is pretty damn impressive. What are the measurements?

Some of the pieces are holders for the bullets, primers and powder, while others are tools used in the assembly of the gun.

But regardless, you're right - there is a lot of excess metal (the completed sculpture weighs around 44 pounds.)

The man is primarily an artist, not a gunsmith, so I think it has as much to do with "because he could", rather than any sort of practicality.

The sight shows a picture of an NFA tax stamp. Any clue as to why? only reason I can think of is that it falls under the perview of AOW as a gun-that-is-not-obviously-a-gun, but I'd think that since the final assembly is rather gun-like and thus be exempt like the stinger pen gun. Plus, as it's a muzzle loader, wouldn't that make completely exempt?

Not that it matters, I want one. Field stripping this while blindfolded would be a fun challenge.

This is evidence that there is often an inverse relationship between the practicality of a firearm and the amount of fun it can be.

By the way, would we call this a "puzzle-loader?"

Thank you. I'll be here all week.

HAHAHAHA.....puzzle loader....Dam that's funny.....Wish i thought of it.

I see the the novelty in it but dammm.Several different types of metal,
some of which took if i remember 3 weeks to machine.I would guess its in the
thousands if one could purchased.

But really, would you buy one just for the novelty,or the gun in plain site factor....I highly doubt it.

Some people are really into puzzle sculpture, and the intricate ones aren't cheap -- I bet he'd sell a couple. I doubt that many of the guns would see much use, though.

This is like the 3rd thread for this thing. One in General Handgun, another in the Semi-Auto and now here. Can a Moderator maybe combine them?

It's a heck of alot cooler than a 500 piece "Kittens in a Yarn Basket" puzzle or 1000pc 3-D Sphinx, though.
