im picking up my new WASR-10 tomorrow. is there anything i should look for? i got the folding stock since it was the same price as the fixed stock.

I have a wasr, and I LOVE it. That gun is one of the best for the money. I've put over 1000 rounds through mine, and never had any trouble! The only problem right now, is that you don't get it until tomroow haha.
 
:P but really i have heard about the magazine's not seating right into the lower reciever. something like you fire a full 30 round mag an if it doesnt jam its worth a lil over $500 an if it does something is wrong with it but i forgot what it was.
 
make sure the front/rear sight is on secure and straight. look for anything that is not in place and uncomfortable tool marks before accepting it. next step is to hit up some bulk ammo.
 
You'll want to make sure the front sight is not canted. I don't think it's much of a problem anymore, but keep an eye out for it. Other than that, you'll want a front sight tool and LOTS of ammo!

my WASR has so much mag wobble that it wont take steel mags but it feeds plastic mags like a champ, if you immiediately start having feeding issues with it you will either have to send it in to century or just buy cheap plastic mags
 
Like others have said, be sure the front sight lines up with the rear sight. I was at my LGS yesterday and they had like five of them I was looking at. I swear one of them the front sight was askew. I also looked at a mini Draco pistol. That one looks like FUN!
 
Be sure the sight/gas block aren't canted. The newer models have plates in the receiver to get rid of the magazine wobble issue.

I've seen many with major barrel pitting fresh from the factory. I'd highly recommend taking a bore light to it before saying yes to it.
 
like i've said before i can't post pics :( but if someone wants to send me there cell number i can send pics if they wanna post em. an i was lookin at more magazine's does it matter about the difference of mags? like a european mag in a romanian ak?
