Hay Chad, Last winter my Dad gave me his Trooper that he carried for 23 yrs.
It was fired very little but carried daily. Just a set of rubber Pacmayer grips put on it. I've put close to 2K rnds thru it and she's really smooth now. I have shot it in a couple IDPA matches this spring too.
For the price the Troopers are great shooters. The one you have is called the target model cause it has the Adj sights, wide knurled spur hammer and wide smooth trigger..
ENJOY!!

I see these every now and then. Very rarely in condition to give me pause. Most often they're very inexpensively priced. If I ran across one like yours, I'd probably get right away. I'm surprised, given the current pricing of Pythons and Diamondbacks, that these guns don't go for more.

Nimitz87:

1)You have got a great looking Colt MK-III there, for sure(And, at a nice price!)! These are super strong and reliable revolvers!

2)Following is the only Colt MK-III, that I have been able to find, here in Kalifornia(And, I was only "Lucky" to find it in NIB condition, for $340!)!:
