My M1S90 barrel broke!

I was duck hunting today. Towards the end of the hunt, the part of the barrel ring that slides over the magazine tube sheared completely off the barrel. I was shooting 3" #2 steel shells. The magazine cap was tight as usual. The thing just sheared right off.

The gun is about 15 years old. What are the chances that Benelli will fix this under warranty?

Barrels should not do that.

Is this like my early one where there are two rings [washer and spring washer ,9171,9172 ] ? If these rings are installed reversed it will damage the gun.
The ring has been brazed on I assume and it might be possible to re-braze tough with the barrel chrome lined that may be a problem. Contact them.

I don't know anything about the rings you mention. However, nothing on the gun has changed or been removed/replaced/moved for the entire time I have had it.

If you don't have a manual get one. When I got mine they were imported by H&K. They are very easy to take apart .These early ones had two springs but that was changed later as too many weren't careful and damaged their guns. The flat spring must go against the front of the fore end and the spring or wave washer goes on top of that.
What I don't remember exactly what damage is done with springs reversed.
