Guys got in the Uberti Baby Rolling Block .22LR today:

Friends, this is a BEAUT of a rifle!! Fit n' finish are top shelf. The trigger's a little stiff, but I'm sure it'll get better in time. Function real good. Going to shoot it for the first time tomorrow on the 4th. Can't wait!!

How's the weight of that rifle ? Originally the RRB was made in 4 frame sizes. If yours is the smallest frame size it will be sweet . An experienced smith can make that trigger really nice . The only RRB I had was a fine 45-70 but I gave that up as I have a Browning.. Keep the iron sights . Have fun . :D
 
According to my Chinese amazon scale it weighs 5 lbs on the dot. Balance point is right in front of the trigger guard. It's a PEACH to shoulder with just enough forward balance that it seems it'll make a great offhander for squirrel or can!!
 
ROLLER UPDATE:

Guys shot the rioller on the 4th. Function WONDERFULLY!!! The thing shoots as good as it looks! Trigger seems to be breaking in nicely. The other folks who shot it really liked it. Balances well and is handy, I was delighted to see that the spent casings flick themselves out when the block is dropped.

Overall I'm extremely pleased. I've always found Uberti guns to be well made. This wasn't a cheap gun but I think for the quality it is a real bargain. Paid just under $600 for it and feel it was worth ever dime.

This weekend I plan to shoot for groups to see what it can do. Will report back gang! :)

I was given a Rem RB when I was a kid. Rifle had been on a plaque for years.
It had a octagon barrel in 25 RF. The gun was in very good shape but bore was
very poor from Black powder. Gunsmith gave me a new, Rem 513 take off. He
told me if I fitted barrel he would do extractor work. My shop teacher helped
me with the barrel. Having limited tooling we cut barrel about 3/4" ahead of
action. Took stub and drilled and threaded for 513 barrel we had turned and
threaded. Smith finished off the promised work. I put a Lyman Match type site
on front and modified a Weaver scope base to make a quasi cantaliever base
for a reciver sight. That was 1964 and it's still my official turkey shoot 22.
Shoot is 100'. I super tuned it for one particular shoot and got great entertainment beating the frog crap out of guys who said my rifle looks like
a plumbing fitting. The only way you can tell it has been rebarreled without
reading the barrel is the horn tip on the forarm is notable for octagon barrel.
22 shoots don't get turkey, they give you your choice of Bacon or cheese.
This gun has kept me in bacon for years. Best trigger on a RB I ever pulled.
 
The Uberti Baby Roller is based on the #2 original Rolling Block. This isn't the smallest action, but it's an extremely strong action, and was originally chambered in some pretty powerful pistol calibers in it's day. I own an original #2 in .32-20WCF and they are a fantastic gun. With modern steel and the expertise of Uberti, I'm sure this is a very fine gun!
