I picked up this S&W 586-3 (6" barrel) at Auction Arms.com. It is my first used gun, and a perfect complement to my 686-5 (4" barrel). The gun is probably 99%+, with just a slight wearing of the bluing at the very tip of the underlug - most likely holster wear. Everything else, including the bore, is mint. I've only fired it once, but so far it appears that the accuracy will match the typically high standards of S&W's revos.
The price was $280. How did I do?
BTW, with this purchase, revolvers now constitute over 60% of my handgun collection, and the last four handgun purchases I've made. I am beginning to think that wheelguns have so much more personality than semi-autos.
