I have a pre-ban bushmaster shorty with the collapsible stock. I take my buddies shooting all the time, and they LOVE it! Most of them are pistol guys, so I have to explain (over and over) the difference between pre and post ban, flash supressor and muzzle brake, etc. Most of them could care less for the flash supressor or bayonet lug, but they always get this disappointed look on their faces when I show them what a Post-ban stock looks like.
Why doesn't somebody get smart and make a COMPLETELY NON-COLLAPSIBLE stock that looks like a collapsible one? I doubt you could modify an existing one, because the legality of being able to remove the screw, bolt, glue, plug, whatever that keeps it from collapsing would be there. But if there was a product that didn't collapse, never collapsed, couldn't collapse, that was one piece but LOOKED a lot like the pre-ban ones, I personally believe they would sell THOUSANDS of them!
Agree? Disagree? Got connections? (not that I'd get any royalties from it, but I should!)
