My Heizer Derringer set

I have had my .223 Heizer for a couple years. Bought a 7.62X39 barrel and now a 45C/410 barrel. I think it is a nice little set. They were supposed to come out with a .308 but never did. Perhaps I need a display box for them? Just part of my derringer collection. I will never shoot them.

I like your Heizer collection. I want same, but in all stainless!

One thing, I wish Heizer made the PAK1 Barrel without the ports - seems to me a lot of the energy would be lost through the ports, especially in such a short barrel. A 308 in that size??? I might even be scared to shoot something like that.

The Heizer is all stainless however they coat them in black. They said there was going to be a 308 however it never made it.

So how many . . .

Peggysue:

How many derringers are in your collection? I recall seeing your Double Taps in a previous post.

Peggy Sue, you do have quit a wall of color and diversity there:). I like, I like! I've looked at a number of the new derringers thinking they would really be fun to play with but it seems every time I decide to go ahead and buy one one of the old ones shows up with a price I am willing to pay and I end up with what is essentially another safe queen. But what the heck, I really do like the looks of the old remingtons, sharps, and earlier percussion pocket derringers a lot to. Sure not like I'm short on ranger toys and need another one.:D

Lotta Derringers . . .

Peggysue:

I see them (derringers) on the shelves below. Fun stuff.

Just to the left of the shelf, what is the funky little gun with the banana magazine?

I love how they ported the 7.62x39 barrel, just to make double sure that the fireball will blind you good. :D

Perhaps I need a display box for them?
Every derringer I could find the last 20 years except for older antique one.
You should put them in a wall mount glass case. With each one labeled with manufacturer and caliber, that would make an interesting display.

That looks like a Buffalo Arms M-1 to the right of the BJT/ADC DA38.

I've seen pictures of a derringer similar to the Buffalo Arms, with a few differences; sight/s, and maybe lock location and pivot point. I forget the name, but I believe the company bought the tooling and made some changes. Same grips, iirc.

The BA has a nasty bite with .38SPL. There isn't much rounded off where you hand goes. The BA did have a decent trigger, as derringer triggers go.

"What's that small one between the COP and the Doubletap? "

I think it's called the Stinger, a 1-shot 9mm.

There's another Stinger, unrelated, by Braverman and ADC (American Derringer) that looks like a pen.

"That's a Downsizer WSP"

They do look a little different. Here's a couple of pics of the Liberator Stinger 9mm.
