My Hands Fit the Large Frame S&W, but I only own L Frame Revolver

My finger meets the trigger just right when holding a large frame S&W, but my 686+ is a bit small for my hand. What grips do you guys use to add more depth to the L frame grip?

S&W 686

If equipped with Hogue rubber, switch over to Pachmayr.
Pachmayr is a little wider (thicker, side to side) and should
take up any access finger reach.

Or look at some of the wood grips. Nils in particular has models with an added palm swell that improves the grip on a K or L frame.

I had the same issue, and will second the Pachmayr recommendation. Worked well for my big mitts.

My other solution was to begin purchasing N-Frames, it also works well.:)

My search engine refuses to give up the URL for their site, but Herrett's make their "Jordan Trooper" grip, and (IIRC) one other that covers the backstrap, giving you a longer leng of pull. When you have this solved, you can still buy a couple of N Frames...just as a comparison check, of course:D

Howdy, Dewey...

Just installed a set of Karl Nill's grips [combat, stippled] on my P239. Really expensive but absolutely worth it. They fit so well that you can't tell where the back seam is.

Hard to imagine not being able to custom tailor a handgun grip using a Nill-Griffe product.

See you on the S&W board...
